How to fill in this sheet
The header names the two sides: the teams go in Team A and Team B on the first line, and typing them on the page before printing puts them straight onto the paper. Date and Venue next — the venue being a LAN, a room, or the server if you are playing online. Referee is the tournament admin, Scorekeeper is you. Competition and Match no. count for more here than anywhere else: a bracket produces dozens of series a day, and only the number tells two identical sheets apart. Category takes the title and the format.
The grid is the generic sheet — ten numbered lines, with Event, Participant and Result — and it fits a series far better than two score columns would. One line per game, in order. Under Event, number the game and name the map that came out of the pick and ban, in the form Game 1 — map name. Under Participant, the side that won it. Under Result, the in-game score: rounds, kills, towers, points, whatever the title counts in. A best of three fills three lines at most, a best of five fills five, and the lines left over take the tactical pauses, the technical pauses and any round restore.
This grid has no Final score line, so the series score gets a place of its own: the unlabelled box at the end of the header line. Write 2-1 or 3-0 there and it becomes the first thing anyone reads. Then the signatures — the two captains, the admin in the Referee cell, you in the Scorekeeper cell. An admin's signature is what stops a contested map from staying a debate. The legend at the foot, printed from the sport's own data, says one single thing: +1 map. One line, one map won, no other unit on this sheet.
What the scorekeeper watches
Two scores run side by side, and mixing them up is the classic mistake. The internal score belongs to the title — kills, rounds, towers destroyed, points — and it stays managed inside the game itself; the series score is yours, and it counts nothing but games won. In a best of three the first side to two games takes it; in a best of five, the first to three. The moment worth watching has a name: match point, when one side is a game up in a best of three and the next one can close the series out. Flag it to the admin before the map starts.
The rest of the watch is procedural. Format, map and side are settled before the match — by draw, by pick and ban or by the tournament rules — and they go on the sheet while nobody is at a screen yet. Tactical and technical pauses are regulated and limited by the rules: note the time and the reason at every stoppage, it is the only written record if someone reopens the game an hour later. Then the sanctions this sport actually lives with — cheating, a deliberate disconnect, a no-show at the set time, toxicity. Any of them can end in a forfeit, and a forfeit goes on the sheet too.
Common questions
There are no Team A and Team B columns — how do I score a BO3?
One line per game, not one column per team. Line one carries the first game, its winner and its in-game score; line two the second; line three the decider if it is played. The two sides still appear at the top of the sheet, in the header boxes: that is where the names live, and they live there once.
Where do I write the final 2-1?
In the empty box at the end of the header line, the one with no printed label. It sits next to the match number and the competition, exactly where the eye lands when someone leafs through a stack of sheets. The game lines below are the detail; the series score is the result.
Should I record the in-game score too?
Yes, in the Result column. The round or point detail says far more than a tick, and it is the only trace left of a close game once the server has been shut down. The internal score stays managed by the title itself; the sheet simply keeps a copy that everyone at the table can read, admin included.
