概要
Motorsport covers speed competitions in which drivers race purpose-built cars, mainly on circuits. The aim is to cover the race distance — a set number of laps — as fast as possible and cross the finish line first. The discipline is governed worldwide by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA).
目的
Cross the finish line in first place after completing the set number of laps, managing speed, tyres, fuel and pit stops.
重要なルール
- •A race is run over a number of laps set in advance (or a fixed duration).
- •The first to cross the finish line after the last lap wins.
- •The starting grid is set by qualifying (the fastest starts on pole position).
- •Flags communicate instructions: chequered (finish), yellow (danger), red (stop), blue (let a faster car by).
- •Pit stops are used to change tyres or refuel.
- •Infringements are punished with time or position penalties.
得点
Ranking is by finishing position: the first to cross the line after the set number of laps wins the race. In a championship, points are awarded to the top finishers on a scale (e.g. 25-18-15… in F1). Time or pit penalties change the order after an infringement. Fastest lap and pole position can bring bonuses depending on the series.
形式と試合時間
A race runs over a number of laps set by the circuit and category (or a fixed duration, as in endurance). Free practice and qualifying sessions precede the race and set the grid.
勝利条件
Cross the finish line first after the set number of laps (chequered flag). In endurance, the greatest distance covered within the allotted time wins.
