Resumo
Indoor volleyball is played between two teams of six players separated by a net. Each team tries to land the ball in the opponent's court while preventing it from hitting the floor on its own side. Matches are decided in sets played under the rally-point scoring system.
Objetivo
Score more points than the opponent by grounding the ball in their court or forcing them into a fault. The match is won by winning a set number of sets.
Regras essenciais
- •Each team may touch the ball a maximum of 3 times before returning it (a block does not count as a touch).
- •A player may not contact the ball twice in a row (except immediately after a block).
- •The ball must cross over the net and land within the boundaries of the opponent's court.
- •The serve is made from behind the end line after the referee's whistle.
- •When a team wins the serve from the opponent, its players rotate one position (clockwise).
- •Touching the net or crossing the centre line under the net may be penalized depending on the situation.
