Taƙaitawa
Padel is a racket sport played almost always in doubles (2 vs 2) on an enclosed court of roughly 10 x 20 m, surrounded by glass walls and metal fencing. The ball can rebound off the walls, producing long, tactical rallies. The racket is solid with no strings, and the scoring system is borrowed from tennis.
Manufa
Score more points than the opposing team by making the ball bounce twice in their half or forcing them into a fault, while using the court's walls to your advantage.
Muhimman ƙa'idodi
- •The serve is underhand: bounce the ball on the ground, then strike it at or below waist level, hitting diagonally into the opposite service box.
- •The ball may bounce only once on the ground before being returned; after that bounce it may also touch the walls on your own side.
- •You can play the ball after it has hit a wall on your side, but it must clear the net without first hitting the opponent's fence on the full.
- •The server gets two attempts, as in tennis; the served ball must bounce in the diagonal service box.
- •You lose the point if the ball bounces twice on your side, leaves the court, or hits the opponent's fence directly before bouncing.
- •Play is almost always doubles; scoring follows the 15-30-40 then game system.
Ƙididdiga
Points follow tennis: 15, 30, 40, then game. At 40-40 (deuce) modern official padel (FIP / Premier Padel) plays a golden point: the very next point wins the game, and this is ScoreZen's Official preset. The classic two-points-in-a-row advantage is an amateur variant you can turn on in Custom mode. A team wins a set by reaching 6 games with a 2-game margin; at 6-6 a tie-break is played (first to 7 points, 2-point margin).
Tsari da tsawon lokaci
A match is usually played as best of 3 sets (first team to 2 sets wins). Each set is played to 6 games with a 2-game margin, with a tie-break at 6-6. Depending on the competition, variants exist (a 10-point super tie-break replacing the 3rd set, deciding point at 40-40).
Sharuɗɗan nasara
The team that wins the majority of the scheduled sets (usually 2 of 3) wins the match.
